The DC Autonomous Vehicles Association is a volunteer-driven effort to promote the advances of autonomous vehicles (AVs) and the safety and efficiency benefits they promise to the Washington, DC-area. We commit ourselves to furthering the potential of autonomous transport through collaboration, advocacy and education efforts.

Collaboration

DC-AVA serves as a bridge for public and private players in the AV industry to come together. Bringing AVs to our streets is an extremely complex engineering endeavor. It’s going to take professionals coming together from across industries, government, and non-profits to devise the most appropriate and effective methods for their implementation.

Advocacy

We actively reach out to policy leaders and decision makers to implement AV-forward policies and attract AV progress, in the form of demonstrations, pilot programs and jobs to the DC-area. We are proud to take part in autonomous vehicles working groups and other projects in the DC-area.

Education

We endeavor to produce events highlighting the progress and benefits of AV technology not only for engineers, community groups, policy makers and industry leaders but also events for the general public’s understanding of this technology.
