2022 has been a year of memories and milestones for Yulu.

It was the year of our 5th anniversary.

It was the year of our Series B funding round.

It was the year we introduced our 2nd Generation of purpose-built EVs for Shared Mobility – Miracle NV and DeX.

It was also the year where a new bunch of EV enthusiasts joined us in our journey for a sustainable future.

purpose-built EVs

We expanded our leadership and built a world-class team ready for scaling up new forms of e-mobility in India. We also had our biggest funding round till date, and joined hands with Magna International, our new strategic partner along with Bajaj Auto, who are as excited and committed as us to redefine mobility globally.

We went deeper in our commitment of building a sustainable mobility infrastructure in the country & also signed a MoU in namma home state with the Government of Karnataka for investing 1,200 crore rupees over the next five years. And yes, we opened up a brand new office at BKC – the commercial business district of aamchi Mumbai.

We introduced our custom-made DeX EVs for delivery executives to roaring enthusiasm, and had our Honorable Minister of Road Transport & Highways, Nitin Gadkari, try out our next generation of Yulu Miracle NV in (dilwalo ki) Delhi.

We launched Safe Rider, a road safety awareness program for delivery executives in Bengaluru and Delhi, that has so far educated 300+ delivery executives from 7+ e-commerce companies on road safety rules & practices in multiple events.

We also had our first edition of Yulu Crunch (YuC), which saw employees from different Yulu verticals fight it out to solve some of our pressing mobility problems in an internal hackathon event.

We had quarterly Utsav’s to celebrate & recognize the contribution of our 450+ dedicated Field Staff (who include our repair & maintenance personnels, pilots, operators, marshalls, Max Network and warehouse commanders, and mobility field staff) who keep our EVs moving 24×7, with a fun-filled day of games, music and competitions.

We also had our Max Network stations grow by 4x, improving convenience and reducing downtime for customers, as well giving us important customer touchpoints for us to get real-time feedback on our services.

2022 was a memorable year for us. We grew to 4 million+ user-base, saved over 15,000 metric tonnes of CO2 emission, and enabled over 75 million green deliveries till date. We also catered to 40 million+ green rides, and covered 175 million+ Kms since inception.

Our EVs and batteries are smarter now, sending real time data to give our riders an optimised and seamless shared ride experience. We also introduced the ‘Token System’ to create an innovative way of reserving a charged battery for delivery executives without having to physically go to a Max Station.

As we head to 2023, we are just getting bigger, better and bolder.

A lot of excitement and firsts await us. We will be deploying 1 lakh+ shared EVs in 6-7 cities (yes, we will be opening up in new cities, so fingers crossed to see Yulu in your city next!) by end-2023. And powering them will be 500+ battery charging and swapping stations.

We are supercharged & committed to changing the mobility landscape of the country with you in 2023 and beyond.
