SkedGo Makes MaaS Accessible for All in Germany
Global Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) tech enabler SkedGo is increasing its routing algorithm across Germany, enabling governments, corporations and start-ups to build countrywide MaaS solutions.
Accessed via SkedGo’s API, SDK and white label integrations, organisations can now incorporate data from more than 1,000 transport operators across Germany into their own journey planning apps. Users can compare and combine multiple transport modes including train, bus, tram, shared micromobility, taxi and car share, with bespoke routing for pedestrians, cyclists and wheelchair users.
John Nuutinen, CEO of SkedGo, said:MaaS is not only for city dwellers and the expansion of our technology across Germany reflects a continued commitment to make MaaS a functional, efficient, and sustainable option for all.
In light of the European Green Deal and the global focus on reducing carbon emissions, it is clear our travel behaviours need to adapt. As well as combining transport options, our API provides detail on the quantity of CO2produced from each journey, so passengers can make informed decisions.
SkedGo’s algorithm coverage expansion will enable passengers to combine transport modes in major cities such as Hamburg, Berlin, Dortmund, Cologne, Stuttgart and Munich, as well as more rural regions in Germany.
In Europe, SkedGo’s API, SDK and white label products also provide routing options in countries including Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK. For further information, please visit skedgo.com.
