Neuron Mobility has unveiled its latest e-scooter model: the N4.

The company said it was its most “rider-centric, sustainable and toughest e-scooter” to date.

The new model has been designed in-house with the view of delivering greater levels of comfort and stability. The aim behind the design was to prioritise smooth acceleration and improved hill-climbing capabilities, enabling it to climb 17-degree inclines while carrying a 90-kilogram rider.

In addition, it features an upgraded front suspension and pneumatic tyres to reduce vibrations from uneven surfaces.

The N4 also expands the capabilities of Neuron’s swappable battery system by using a new sequential, dual-battery system which can be deployed with one or two batteries depending on the demand in the city.

Using two batteries reduces charging time by around 50% compared to using a single battery of the same combined capacity. This change therefore increases the efficiency of Neuron’s operations.

Furthermore, the N4 comes with a new ‘IoT box’ which is future-proofed to allow technology to be added over time.

This box includes a range of high-tech sensors to precisely locate the e-scooter and control where it can be ridden and parked.

Alongside these improvements, the N4 also retains the safety features developed in the N3 model, including the app-controlled helmet lock and the voice guidance system.
