YBP began with a simple idea: to take EVs into Indian cities that are seeing and will continue to see accelerated growth over the coming decade in technology, consumerism, quick commerce and food delivery, start-ups, tourism, education and more. Yulu’s full suite that includes the AI powered platform, Yulu EVs and app, operational know-how and shared mobility tech stack were already tested and proven in India’s top metros.
So, we created a new business model wherein we partnered with local entrepreneurs who could bring Yulu’s shared electric journey to their own cities efficiently, sustainably and profitably. The partners would invest in Yulu EVs upfront and run their day-to-day operations with their local know-how and expertise, while Yulu provides them with the technical knowledge and platform to start this venture in their cities.
That idea is now a live network of:

- 72,000+ lifetime users
- 400,000 completed trips, and
- 25 million green kilometres covered!
Every kilometre ridden on Yulu unlocks access and livelihoods for users, transforms habits and decarbonises cities. For many gig workers, Yulu has created a new access to job and earning opportunities. Over 25,000 delivery executives to date from these partner cities have used Yulus to make green deliveries and help their cities breathe cleaner.
