We are proud to present the first flight of our full-size VoloCity air taxi prototype in this short video. This feat was no less than 11 years in the making and we couldn’t be more thrilled to finally be able to share it with all of you! This short clip is the culmination of all the hard work that went into getting the VoloCity off the ground and is the first major step for us here at Volocopter as we gear up for our commercial launch. Our ultimate goal? We want to be flying our VoloCity for real in time for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
To that end, we just spent a week at Pontoise airfield, located to the northwest of Paris, conducting flight tests and speaking with our French partners about the steps that lie between us and our projected launch date.
And though the sky’s our only limit, we are working hard to make sure our final air taxi is as safe as can be so that both the regulators and our customers can sit back, relax, and enjoy peace of mind.
