Electric Vehicle Charging: Schunk’s Roof Mounted Pantograph SLS 102
The compact roof-mounted pantograph SLS 102 can be mounted on e-buses or electric industrial vehicles. If the vehicle stops during operation under a charging station, the pantograph extends, connects to the charging station and charges the battery. In the process, the system precisely compensates for parking deviations and kneeling effects. The process works just as well after the operation in the depot.

Roof-Mounted Pantograph SLS 102
With the roof-mounted pantograph SLS 102 Schunk is presenting an innovative system, which allows the safe, efficient, comfortable and autonomous recharging of various types of electric vehicles within seconds. The system works according to the bus-up principle: The vehicle stops under the charging station where the roof charging pantograph extends, connects to the charging station and charges the batteries. Charging can take place both in the depot as well during operation at a charging station within the route network. And due to the fast contacting of four or less seconds without delays of the regular driving operations.
Advantages
- Precisely designed to meet customer requirements for power transmission and availability; contacting in only four seconds or less than one second if required
- Integration on the battery-powered vehicle – contacting with charging infrastructure according to the bus-up principle
- Multi-pole concept (minimum 4 poles) and contact sequence for safe charging
- Precise compensation of parking deviations and kneeling effects during the loading process
