Única-Fácil Selects Optibus to Digitally Transform Their Rio de Janeiro Operation
Única-Fácil, Rio de Janeiro’s intercity bus operator, has chosen Optibus’ planning and scheduling software to digitally transform its public transportation operation.
Founded in the city of Petrópolis, a mountain region in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Única-Fácil has more than 80 years of experience in the public transportation industry. The company operates in the cities of Rio de Janeiro, Região dos Lagos, Baixada Fluminense, and Petrópolis, as well as Juiz de Fora in the state of Minas Gerais, carrying nearly two million passengers annually.
Única-Fácil was looking for a planning and scheduling platform that would allow the quick creation and analysis of various service scenarios, provide key performance indicators (KPIs), and digitalize the company’s work processes. With the objective of increasing the efficiency, agility, and predictability of their daily operations, Única-Fácil entered into a partnership with Optibus to use Optibus’ Planning and Scheduling products, part of the company’s end-to-end software platform for public transportation operations.
With powerful optimization algorithms and artificial intelligence, Optibus’ cloud-native software will contribute to the total digital transformation of Única-Fácil’s data, processes, and systems. This will make network changes automated and simple, and increase the agility and precision of the planning and operation teams’ work.
