The First Physical Edition of Rail Infra Forum is Around the Corner

Sustainable alternatives for diesel trains are currently being developed by almost all major rolling stock manufacturers. In more and more countries, we are witnessing the gradual rollout of battery-hybrid trains, battery trains and even the first trials with hydrogen trains. However, these rolling stock innovations need to be supported by associated infrastructure such as refuelling stations and recharging solutions.

How will this stand to impact the development of new hydrogen and battery trains? And how can retrofitting solutions for existing rolling stock play a role in decarbonising rail? These are some of the points of discussion at the Rail Infra Forum 2022, organised by RailTech.com on 12-13 October in Berlin.

Previously organised as two separate digital events in 2020 focussed on ERTMS and digital transformation, respectively, the first physical edition of the Rail Infra Forum will now centre around the vital matter of sustainability.

The conference programme, designed in cooperation with an expert programme committee, includes industry expert speakers from companies such as HyCentA Research, DB Energy and Plasser&Theurer. Presentations, panel discussions and best practices from the field make for a diverse and engaging Rail Infra Forum 2022.

Networking opportunities

The two important cornerstones of RailTech.com events are sharing knowledge and bringing industry professionals together. For this reason, the event kicks off with networking drinks, followed by a networking dinner on the evening before the conference. These networking moments are a crucial part of the Rail Infra Forum 2022, bringing together like-minded professionals to establish new industry connections and reconnect with old colleagues in a casual setting.
