UK-based aircraft lessor, MONTE has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to order up to 30 electric commuter Alice aircraft from Eviation.

This order will allow MONTE to provide its customer base of regional aircraft operators with financing and leasing solutions for the Alice aircraft, alongside its related charging infrastructure.

MONTE's order is valued at over 4 billion USD

Gregory Davis, President and CEO of Eviation said:

We are thrilled to welcome MONTE as our latest customer, as they share our vision for a new era of sustainable, responsible aviation. The leasing community has an important role to play in reducing the aviation industry’s carbon emissions. With a network spreading from the Americas to Asia-Pacific and throughout Europe, I am excited for how MONTE can utilise the Alice to bring sustainable aviation to the world.

The Eviation Alice is a nine-passenger electric aircraft. It is currently the only all-electric commuter aircraft of its size to have completed successful test flights.

It operates using magniX’s electric propulsion system and produces no carbon emissions during flight.

In addition, Eviation states that it is significantly cheaper to operate per flight hour compared to light jets or high-end turboprops.
