MAN Truck & Bus has unveiled its new Smart Charging Cube, an exclusive option for charging electric trucks and buses.
Now being offered in collaboration with AW Automotive; the Cube, a large-scale battery with power electronics and a dedicated charging station, can be utilised in vehicle depots or maintenance yards, as well as decentralised locations such as construction sites.

The Cube can be connected to mains power outlets with a current of 32 A to 630 A, and is available with storage capacities ranging from 500 kWh to 1,100 kWh.
One to four charging points can be implemented per Cube at a maximum charging capacity of 400 kW.
The Cube is capable of supplying an external MCS charging station, allowing for charging capacities of up to 1,000 kW, and can integrate self-generated electricity from a number of sources including photovoltaic systems.
Charging functions include peak shaving, dynamic power consumption and bidirectional charging.
The Smart Charging Cube is now available for purchase, lease or rent.
