Lime Introduces Lime Prime, Just in Time for Summer
Lime have introduced “Lime Prime,” a new monthly membership subscription now available in Lime markets worldwide. Lime Prime members will have the unlock fee waived on every Lime bike, scooter or moped ride, which can encourage sustainable commuting in cities as workers return to offices for the first time in over a year.
Available at an affordable price of $5.99/month, Lime Prime helps the most frequent riders save money by reducing the cost of each ride. For example, a rider who takes one trip per day will save approximately $25/month with Lime Prime, and savings increase with every ride. Lime Prime can be applied in any city within the country in which it’s purchased and is applicable across Lime’s full fleet of electric scooters, bikes and mopeds. As part of the launch, we’re offering one free month of Lime Prime as an initial promotion for new members who have never before purchased a Lime Pass.
Lime Prime allows users to take full advantage of the Lime platform and will reward loyal riders with various benefits, including:
“At Lime, our mission is to provide a reliable, affordable, carbon-free transportation network that allows riders to replace car travel for short trips, and Lime Prime is a key step towards that goal. We want to reward riders that have made the switch to Lime with added convenience and a lower cost. It’s all part of our effort to help cities and their residents Spring Back with Lime and get moving again in ways that are safe and sustainable, as COVID-19 restrictions continue to lift and people begin to rediscover everything that makes cities great.”
One Tree Planted is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to global reforestation. One tree will be planted for every new paying Lime Prime member, furthering each rider’s impact. Lime has selected tree planting projects reviving the Carpathian Mountains in Romania, Bushfire recovery in Australia, and Chippewa National Forest in the United States.
“We’re proud to work with partners dedicated to taking real action for sustainability. These reforestation efforts will help to further Lime riders’ impact across the globe, mitigating the effects of climate change while restoring the land for biodiversity and the long-term health of forests.”
