The Hyundai Motor Company has announced that its deployment of mobility and robotics solutions for the FIFA World Cup 2026™ will be the largest in the company’s history.

As a long-standing FIFA partner for 27 years; Hyundai Motor has stated it will continue to build on decades of collaboration by expanding its overall role beyond mobility to include both robotics and next-generation technologies.

Hyundai technology will support tournament operations across 16 host cities in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

The 2026 tournament also marks the first major activation under Hyundai Motor’s renewed role as FIFA’s Official Robotics Partner – further reinforcing the company’s overall vision for smart mobility and innovation.

As both a mobility and robotics partner, Hyundai Motor is proud to support tournament operations through seamless transportation and advanced robotics solutions that enhance the overall event experience.

Hyundai Motor’s fleet for the tournament will consist of 994 passenger vehicles and 506 buses, and will be used to support transportation for national teams, officials, tournament operations and media across host cities.

The fleet will primarily be made up of the following models, with hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) variants available on select models:

  • PALISADE
  • SANTA FE
  • TUCSON
  • SANTA CRUZ
  • KONA
  • SONATA
  • ELANTRA
  • CRETA
  • CRETA GRAND
  • GENESIS GV80

The tournament will also see the first official deployment of Boston Dynamics Spot® robots at tournament venues – reflecting the company’s expanded role as FIFA’s Official Robotics Partner.

A total of four customised Spot robots will be deployed at the International Broadcast Center in Dallas, as well as the New York–New Jersey Stadium. The robots will provide autonomous patrol operations, as well as real-time site monitoring and inspection.
