Holman has delivered the first 750 electric vans of a 3,500 plus vehicle order to the BT Group.

The order, which was announced in January and set to be completed in full during 2026, has seen the delivery of hundreds of Toyota Proace Electrics and Vauxhall Vivaro Electrics, as well as Vauxhall Combo Electrics, for use by the telecommunications company.

The 750 electric vehicles form part of a larger, 3,500 vehicle order between the two companies

The order forms part of BT Group’s aim to become a net zero business by 2031.

Holman’s Managing Director, Nick Caller, said:

We’re delighted to partner with BT Group on this further transition across to electric vehicles, as part of their wider sustainability agenda.

Our team has been instrumental through the procurement and wider supply chain activity, helping to appoint the right suppliers and providing products best suited for BT’s operational needs. These new vehicles coming on to fleet only further reinforce BT’s commitment to become net zero.

Funding for the vehicles was handled by Holman itself, which drew a selection from a panel of suppliers to ensure even pricing, specification, quality and costs. The company is also responsible for each vehicle’s seven-year lifespan, providing service, maintenance and repair work when necessary.

With the first batch of vehicles now delivered in operation with BT Group’s Openreach team, a handover programme has been put into place in order to ensure a smooth transition.
