Following the acquisition of Navya’s assets, a joint venture between Gaussin and Macnica has presented its new company: Gama (Gaussin Macnica Mobility).
At Busworld Europe, which is taking place in Brussels between 7-10 October, the company is showcasing its Level 4 autonomous driving technology.
The self-driving shuttles presented at Busworld will be rolled out as part of the EFIBA project, supported by France Relance. By offering an additional public transport service, the company aims to improve connectivity in rural and urban areas in France and abroad.
Throughout operations, Gama will build on Navya’s successful technology developments and autonomous shuttle deployments. Its shuttles will operate using the Gama drive self-driving software, which enables the vehicles to perceive their surrounding environment and act accordingly.
At Busworld, Gama also confirmed that since taking over Navya’s assets earlier this year, it has received an order to supply seven zero-emission autonomous shuttles to the Japanese market.
