Zoox has been named the official autonomous ride-hail partner of AREA15, an entertainment district and events complex in Las Vegas.

The partnership will see Zoox employ a dedicated pickup and drop-off location at the complex.

Partnering with AREA15 brings autonomous ride-hailing to the heart of Las Vegas
Mark Stutzman, Chief Operating Officer, AREA15, said:

As the world’s first immersive art, entertainment, and live events destination, AREA15 embraces technological innovation and prioritizes the guest experience.

Our new Zone 2: The Terminals expansion, opening in August 2025, will drive more visitors than ever to the AREA15 district. With this increased demand, smart and efficient transit options like Zoox will ensure our guests’ experience is seamless and enjoyable from start to finish.

Zoox is currently preparing to launch its autonomous ride-hailing service in Las Vegas this year, with the partnership with AREA15 serving as one of several destinations in addition to Resorts World Las Vegas.

Testing of the company’s retrofitted test fleet first began in Las Vegas in 2019, with a dedicated office and depot opened in 2020.

Michael White, Chief Product Officer, Zoox, said:

AREA15 has become a must-see entertainment destination with its imaginative, mind-bending exhibits that ignite wonder and transform reality for visitors. It offers an experience where everyone can choose their own journey.

Our partnership strategically amplifies what the attraction delivers to its guests. In a perfect convergence, Zoox’s purpose-built robotaxi - with its futuristic shape and panoramic views – extends this feeling for visitors beyond the venue. From the moment guests step into our robotaxi, they're immersed in the future of transportation, with the freedom to focus on their next adventure rather than the road ahead.

Zoox recently launched its Zoox Explorer programme in Las Vegas, which allows select riders to experience its robotaxi and provide feedback. The coming months will see the service rolled out for the general public.
