This initiative aims to enhance access to transit and encourage the use of sustainable transport networks.

Building on the success of a similar pilot in San Francisco, the Los Angeles programme is running from 4 February to 1 April 2025.
Passengers who use Waymo services to connect to any of the eight designated transit stations during this time will receive a 3.00 USD credit the following day, applicable toward future Waymo rides within 60 days of issuance.
The initiative is designed to support more sustainable travel options, particularly for those heading to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), with bus stops frequently used by airport travellers included in the programme.

By facilitating connections to public transit, Waymo seeks to encourage multimodal travel and reduce reliance on private vehicles. Insights gained from the programme will inform future transit integrations, ensuring that autonomous ride-hailing services complement existing public transport networks.
