Voi Technology, one of Europe’s leading micromobility providers, is expanding its fleet with the launch of three new vehicles: the Voiager 8 e-scooter, the Explorer 4 e-bike, and the Explorer Light 1 e-bike.

This launch marks Voi’s most significant investment in e-bikes to date. It will see the company increase its total fleet size by approximately 40% to meet the growing demand for micromobility solutions in urban areas. This expansion aligns with city transport strategies to integrate micromobility with public transit systems.

Voiager 8 e-Scooter

The Voiager 8 e-scooter is a redesigned e-scooter that aims to offer a more intuitive and efficient riding experience.

Key improvements include a wider footboard for stability, dual displays for real-time information, and enhanced positioning technology for accurate parking and navigation.

The scooter also features increased durability and a 54% reduction in power consumption, improving battery life and reducing operational costs.

Fredrik Hjelm, CEO and co-founder of Voi, said:

This is the most advanced Voiager yet, setting a new standard for shared micromobility. Every detail has been dialed up to make getting around the city easier, more enjoyable, and more circular than ever.

The Voiager 8 will launch in Finland, France, Germany, Norway, Spain, and Sweden.

Explorer 4 E-Bike

Voi’s investment in e-bikes is also expanding, with the introduction of the Explorer Light 1 and an upgraded Explorer 4.

The Explorer 4 includes a larger 10 kg-capacity basket, an improved saddle for comfort, and an upgraded seat clamp for better adjustability.

The Explorer 4 will be available in Belgium, France, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, and the UK.

Explorer Light 1 E-Bike

The Explorer Light 1 is 25% lighter than typical shared e-bikes, making it easier to manoeuvre and park. With this addition, Voi aims to open up e-biking to a wider range of riders.

The Explorer Light 1 will be piloted exclusively in the UK.

This expansion follows a period of financial stability for Voi, having achieved its first full-year Adjusted EBIT profitability in 2024 and securing funding through a bond issuance. Further expansion and city launches are planned throughout 2025.

Fredrik Hjelm, CEO and co-founder of Voi, said:

Over the years, we have steadily expanded our e-bike fleets, but in 2025 we are taking it to the next level. We are accelerating our presence across key markets, including the UK, Germany, and France, with further expansion on the horizon. Stay tuned for what’s next!
