UrbanV and Pax Aeroportos have signed an agreement to co-develop and integrate vertiport infrastructure at Campo de Marte Airport in São Paulo and Jacarepaguá Airport in Rio de Janeiro.
UrbanV is an international operator specialising in vertiport networks, while Pax Aeroportos is the concessionaire and operator of the two urban airports. The agreement focuses on preparing the sites to support Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) operations, integrating vertiports into existing airport infrastructure.

The partnership builds on an existing collaboration between the two companies in Brazil, including the establishment of a regulatory sandbox at Campo de Marte in cooperation with ANAC, Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency. The new agreement adds to a broader roadmap aimed at enabling scalable and integrated AAM networks in the country.
Rogerio Augusto Prado, CEO of Pax said:Operating two of Brazil’s most strategic urban airports, we see Advanced Air Mobility as a natural evolution of urban aviation. This partnership with UrbanV allows us to build on our strong presence in Brazil while exploring new opportunities to integrate next-generation air mobility solutions into our airports and the cities they serve.
Campo de Marte is planned to function as a central node within the São Paulo metropolitan area, with hangar capacity and connections to high-demand locations such as international airports, Faria Lima, Alphaville, Campinas and Santos.
Jacarepaguá is expected to play a similar role in Rio de Janeiro, serving the western part of the city and enabling future links to Copacabana, Niterói and the city’s main airports, while building on its role in executive and helicopter aviation.
Under the agreement, UrbanV and Pax Aeroportos will also develop AAM network concepts for São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, connecting urban, business and regional destinations through new air mobility infrastructure.
The collaboration aims to make use of existing airport assets while allowing for future expansion and additional projects related to urban air mobility in Brazil.
Ivan Bassato, Chairman of UrbanV said:This agreement strengthens our presence in one of the most strategic markets for Advanced Air Mobility. Together with Pax Aeroportos, we are building the foundations for future air mobility networks in Brazil, starting from airports that already play a central role in urban aviation.
