Mobility start-ups, Ubiq and Swobbee have announced a partnership to help optimise battery swapping logistics for shared mobility networks.
Through this collaboration, the two companies aim to make battery swapping more efficient and profitable for operators.
Thomas Duscha, CEO of Swobbee, said:Swobbee is excited to be working with Ubiq to create a new standard in battery swapping logistics. Our battery swapping stations and logistics solutions, paired with Ubiq's technology, will provide a convenient and reliable way for operators to keep their vehicles on the road, reducing downtime and increasing profitability.
The partnership will use Ubiq’s real-time demand-prediction technology and crowd-based service, which is powered by artificial intelligence. This technology facilitates efficient and cost-effective shared fleet operations by automating operational services such as rebalancing, battery swapping and safety services, including raising fallen scooters.
Meanwhile, Swobbee provides battery-swapping stations and charging solutions for shared mobility operators to help reduce vehicle downtime. The company is already working with micromobility operators such as Voi and Bolt to trial this solution.
To optimise the potential of battery swapping, Ubiq and Swobbee will now create a fully integrated battery swapping logistics ecosystem. This will include pairing the Swobbee app with the operating processes of the Ubiq StreetCrowd system to enable battery swaps to take place quickly and flexibly.
Christian Adelsberger, CEO of Ubiq, said:We are thrilled to be partnering with Swobbee to revolutionise battery swapping logistics for shared mobility, logistics, and delivery operators. Our real-time demand prediction technology and crowdbased service team, paired with Swobbee's battery swapping network, will provide a truly efficient and profitable solution for operators.
