AI Computing Systems for Smart Transportation
Certified AI Computing Systems Enable Smart Transportation
There’s the rise of digitalization in recent years. Smart transportation uses the latest technologies – such as 5G, edge computing, Internet of Things (IoT), big data, cloud computing, analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML) and global positioning systems (GPS) – to enhance safety and quality of mobility and customer experiences.
In keeping with this trend, SINTRONES has developed comprehensive rugged in-vehicle computing systems which integrate 5G, edge AI and GPS technologies to facilitate the development and new innovations of smart transportation.
Taiwan-based SINTRONES is an ISO 9001 and IRIS ISO/TS22163 certified producer of in-vehicle computing systems. This demonstrates the company’s commitment to continually enhancing its quality management systems and ensuring its products meet the ever-changing needs of the transportation industry.
SINTRONES provides customers with high-quality certified computer system products that meet international transportation standards certifications, including EN50155, IRIS, E-Mark, IEC60945, IACS E10, DNV and MIL-810.
Onboard Computing Systems for Autonomous Mobility
Autonomous driving systems (autonomous vehicles or self-driving cars) are capable of sensing the environment and navigating without human input. Environment sensors are the components that allow autonomous vehicles to take in raw information about the environment. In order to analyze and understand the surroundings, environment sensors must be supported by high performance machine vision technology and intelligent hardware.
SINTRONES’s in-vehicle PCs are equipped with high-performance CPUs, such as Intel Gen 10 Comet Lake CPU, AMD Ryzen CPU, and bundled with Nvidia Graphics GPU from GeForce GTX 1660 GPU to GTX 1050TI GPU to boost image processing capability.
SINTRONES’s vehicle computer also features up to 8 PoE ports to connect cameras and conduct environment detection by collecting real-time video data. With the provision of up to 4 USB ports, SINTRONES’s vehicle computer system can also be connected to external devices of autonomous vehicles, such as 3D Lidar sensors, GPS modules, odometers, etc. More applications that could utilize this platform include: automated guided vehicle (AGV), autonomous mobile robot (AMR), remotely operated vehicle (ROV), unmanned surface vehicle (USV) and guided industrial vehicles.
SINTRONES understands the bespoke needs of the transportation industry and with the support of its experienced R&D team, provides a flexible configuration service and offers tailor-made systems that meet specific requirements. These series of in-vehicle PCs have achieved worldwide success, such as being implemented in autonomous vehicles for sightseeing tours in Japan, in AGV systems for warehouse automation for carrying products in the USA, as well as in AI surveillance to enhance road safety in Europe and Asia.
