Siemens Smart Infrastructure has announced a new partnership with Mennekes to further develop simplified and improved power distribution planning for eMobility charging infrastructures.

The partnership marks the first as part of Siemens’ Simaris software ecosystem, allowing electrical planners access to Mennekes’ industrial eMobility portfolio.

Gerald Hellermann, Head of Sales eMobility at Mennekes, Germany and Harald Mauch, Head of Electrical Products at Siemens Smart Infrastructure in Germany
Christopher Mennekes, CEO of Mennekes, said:

For years, we have been offering not just customised charging solutions, but also a wide range of services for planners. By partnering with Siemens and integrating our charging infrastructure into Simaris, we are continuing along this path and making day-to-day work easier for planners.

Simaris’ tools are capable of developing automatic designs of any and all components and systems for e-charging infrastructure projects, as well as take into account any relevant standard requirements.

The tools can determine required devices for projects, such as distribution boards, providing Building Information Modelling (BIM) data for any digital twin development.

Andreas Matthé, CEO of Electrical Products, Siemens Smart Infrastructure, said:

We are excited that Mennekes is the first external partner in our Simaris ecosystem, giving customers direct access to their product portfolio. This will make power distribution planning for eMobility infrastructure even simpler.
