Nissan has announced that it intends to launch its new ProPILOT autonomous driving system in the 2027 fiscal year.
The system is planned to feature Nissan’s Ground Truth Perception technology alongside both Lidar and Wayve AI Driver software.

Nissan first introduced its ProPILOT driving system in 2022, demonstrating its ability to automatically carry out collision-avoidance manoeuvres without human interaction.
The company’s Ground Truth Perception provides the operating system with a 3D perception of the vehicle’s surroundings by incorporating the use of LiDAR, cameras and radar systems.
