Autonomous vehicle (AV) technology provider, May Mobility and transit technology developer, Via have announced a partnership to expand the public deployment of on-demand AVs.
Under a new formal agreement, the two companies plan to deploy thousands of on-demand AVs within public transit networks to bring more transport options to urban, suburban and rural communities.

May Mobility and Via have worked together since 2021, when they launched an on-demand autonomous service in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
They now offer on-demand, dynamically-routed and shared AV services in three cities: Arlington, TX, Grand Rapids, MI and Ann Arbor, MI.
Over the next three years, the two companies want to work to incorporate thousands more AVs into public transit systems in the US and beyond.
By combining Via’s AI-based booking and intelligent routing algorithms with May Mobility’s AV technology, they aim to provide reliable and efficient transport services.
