Lilium N.V., UrbanV, Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur (ACA), alongside the airports of Cannes Mandelieu and Golfe de Saint-Tropez have announced they will be working together to bring Lilium Jet flights to the South of France in 2026.

The introduction of the flights will establish a new network connecting the French Riviera with key destinations such as Monaco, Nice, Cannes, Golfe de Saint-Tropez, Aix-en-Provence and Marseille.

The creation of the vertiport network will cement the French Riviera as the first region in Europe to enable regional air mobility

The new network is set to build on local ecosystem support in Southern France, with the collaboration aiming to establish the presence of eVTOL’s between a significant network of vertiports at airports including Nice Côte d’Azur, Cannes Mandelieu and Golfe de Saint-Tropez, with additional locations set to be decided at a later date.

Sebastien Borel, CCO of Lilium, said:

As a truly European company based in Munich, Germany, with flight testing in Spain and with nascent roots in France, Lilium is extremely proud to be able to assist in the creation of the first regional eVTOL network in the South of France and the first commercially viable network in the EU.

We see an enormous potential in this region and cannot wait to see our Lilium Jet fly there soon.

Lilium is also seeking to establish vertiports in Sophia Antipolis, Aix-en-Provence, and Marseille, with a decision expected before the start of 2025. The company is also in talks with numerous operators for the potential purchase of the Lilium Jet, as well as its projected network.
