Slovakian aerospace company, Klein Vision has presented a production prototype of the AirCar dual-mode vehicle capable of both road and air travel.
The vehicle was unveiled at the 2025 Living Legends of Aviation Gala Dinner in Beverly Hills, California, on 8 May. This milestone follows several years of testing and iteration.
The AirCar has already secured a Certificate of Airworthiness and has logged over 170 hours of flight time, including more than 500 takeoffs and landings. The latest version is designed with commercial scalability in mind and integrates automotive and aviation engineering in a vehicle that transitions between driving and flying in under two minutes.

The AirCar prototype features a new 280-horsepower engine and is built using lightweight composite materials. The vehicle conforms to aviation standards while also maintaining road safety performance.
Company founder Stefan Klein revealed the production-ready model at the event, where he was presented with the Special Recognition Award for Engineering Excellence. The award was granted in acknowledgement of Klein’s 35-year involvement in personal air mobility design, culminating in the AirCar’s development over five generations of prototypes.
AirCar co-founder Anton Zajac said:The AirCar is a fusion of certified aviation engineering and advanced automotive design — a true dual-mode vehicle that meets rigorous standards in both air and ground performance. With global air mobility projected to reach $162 billion by 2034 and growing at over 50% CAGR, we believe the production prototype we are unveiling this year positions Klein Vision at the forefront of this transformation.
Stefan Klein's recent recognition at the Living Legends of Aviation Gala affirms the technological and visionary leadership behind our work. We're not just witnessing the future of transportation — we're engineering it.
Klein Vision’s development roadmap now includes further certification and partnership opportunities aimed at bringing the AirCar to market.
