3rd European Automotive Intelligent Cockpit and Smart Driving Summit 2026
The automotive sector’s push towards software defined vehicles will be under the spotlight in Stuttgart this November, as the 3rd European Automotive Intelligent Cockpit and Smart Driving Summit 2026 brings together engineers, designers and regulatory specialists working on the next generation of in-vehicle systems.
Organised by ECV International, the summit runs on 17 and 18 November 2026 at Le Méridien Stuttgart, Willy-Brandt-Strasse 30, Stuttgart. The event will run both in person and online, with delegates able to choose a live broadcast pass if they cannot travel.
Who Will Attend
The summit is aimed squarely at decision makers across the automotive value chain, including OEMs, Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, semiconductor firms, software platform providers and AI specialists. Confirmed attendee roles span C-level executives, vice presidents and directors of digital cockpit, UX, HMI and design, alongside heads of software, E/E architecture, ADAS, AI/ML, cloud and cybersecurity. Senior managers of software defined vehicles, autonomous driving, data and platform engineering and over-the-air updates are also expected, as are technical leads, system and software architects and validation engineers.
Who Is Speaking
Confirmed speakers include Serafino Abate of Volvo Cars, who leads the manufacturer’s regulatory work on AI, data and cybersecurity. Dr Xavier Chalandon of Renault Group, who heads the company’s HMI expertise network, will also present, alongside Dr-Ing Martin Spiegel, vice president of infotainment and cockpit domain controller at Harman International. Brian Rhodes of Mobility Global, formerly S&P Global, and Georg Doll, chief technology officer for automotive and mobility at Microsoft, are among the other confirmed names, with Obada Alaqtash of Cerence AI also on the bill.

Conference Programme
The two day programme is split by theme. Day one focuses on agentic AI cockpits, software platforms and continuous delivery, with sessions covering the market outlook for intelligent cockpits in Europe, AI enhanced UX, secure Android based infotainment platforms, next generation cockpit architectures and the use of large language models in in-vehicle voice assistants.
Day two turns to in-cabin safety, driver engagement and smart driving readiness, with sessions addressing Euro NCAP’s new protocols, Mercedes-Benz Drive Pilot HMI and trust design for Level 3 automation, human-machine interface design for luxury vehicles, driver monitoring and in-cabin safety, cockpit domain controllers, augmented reality head-up displays and AI governance for Level 2+ cockpit systems.
