Brightline has announced it has been assigned the designator code ‘BE’ by the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

The new designation allows the company to expand its overall reach through interline and codeshare arrangements with international airlines, as well as simplify sales through both travel agencies and tour operation companies via Global Distribution Systems (GDS).

The new code will enhance connectivity between Brightline’s stations in Florida and key destinations served by partner airlines

Using the ‘BE’ code, Brightline will now be listed alongside other major airlines in more commercial booking systems, further enhancing visibility and allowing passengers to purchase combined air and rail travel in a simplified process.

Travis Christ, Chief Commercial Officer of Brightline, said:

With our new 'BE' code, we are expanding our network to provide travellers with greater flexibility, connectivity, and convenience.

Brightline is becoming a key component of the multimodal travel experience in Florida, helping customers get where they need to go, whether it’s connecting with a flight at Orlando International Airport or enjoying a quick journey to South Florida. We look forward to working with our airline partners, travel agencies, and tour operators to make travel simpler, easier, and more connected.
