At CES 2026 in Las Vegas; Bosch has presented its new Bosch eBike System, a digital theft-prevention solution.

The software allows users to mark an eBike or battery as stolen, allowing it to be identified throughout the ecosystem of Bosch eBike Systems, reducing the potential to resell the bike.

The new solution aims to prevent potential eBike theft by restricting access to online features and warning resellers

The feature will soon be available in the company’s eBike Flow app, and will be free of charge when it launches at the end of January 2026.

Buyers of used eBikes, dealers and local public authorities will be sent a warning when they attempt to connect to the eBike via the eBike Flow App. The warning will include any serial numbers of components marked as stolen.

Any connection with a stolen unit will be permanently blocked within the eBike Flow app, removing the possibility to either update the bike or apply custom riding modes. Dealers will also receive a warning in the DiagnosticTool when an eBike is connected for servicing.

Bosch eBike Systems has also announced an expansion of its range for commercial users, providing rental firms and companies the chance to utilise active control options.
