Bolt has launched its ‘Bolt Black Cab’ feature, allowing users to order a London black cab through the Bolt platform.
London taxis, also known as Hackney Carriages, are a well-known component of London’s transport network and offer several passenger benefits.
For example, London black cabs are operated by knowledgeable drivers who have to pass ‘The Knowledge of London’ test. This ensures black cab drivers are qualified to get passengers to their destinations in the most direct and efficient way.
This efficiency is further aided by their ability to travel in London bus lanes and thus avoid other traffic.
In addition, each vehicle has a distinctive partitioned layout, with 5 to 6 seats in the back of each cab, alongside generous luggage space.
To celebrate this launch and encourage riders to experience these perks, Bolt is offering passengers 15% off their first trip in a black cab.
The fares for these rides will be based on the prices set by Transport for London. An estimated total will be shown in the Bolt app and the final price will then be paid in accordance with the taximeter.
Bolt will also add a 2 GBP booking fee to the fare.
