beti, Groupe Bertolami and EasyMile Join Forces for New Level 4 Autonomous Shuttle Service on a Private Site

beti, a Bertolami Group company, is pleased to announce a new milestone in its partnership with EasyMile, with the deployment of fully autonomous Level 4 shuttle service (with no on-board operator) on a private site.

From June to October, two Level 4 autonomous shuttles, operated by beti, will transport employees between parking lots and various stops on the 15-hectare site. This fully autonomous service, with no on-board operator, is designed to improve operational efficiency, reduce carbon emissions and offer a fluid transport solution within a logistics platform.

This collaboration is also part of the SHOW (SHared automation Operating models for Worldwide adoption) project, which aims to support the deployment of shared, connected and electric automation in urban transport, in order to advance sustainable urban mobility.

Key Highlights:

Level 4 autonomy: The shuttles are equipped with EasyMile’s certified Level 4 autonomous technology, enabling them to operate without human intervention.

Operational excellence: the shuttles, operated by beti, will ensure smooth, efficient transport between parking lots and several stops on site.

Phygital hypervision (physical and digital): beti will provide remote hypervision of the site, from its cell based in Saint-Donat-Sur-l’Herbasse in the Drôme, to offer an integrated and enriched user experience.

SHOW integration: this initiative is part of the SHOW project, which aims to accelerate the deployment of shared, connected and automated vehicles in urban environments.

Benjamin Beaudet, CEO of beti, said:

We are delighted to associate EasyMile with our proposal to operate a Level 4 autonomous shuttle service within a private logistics platform. This initiative underlines our commitment to innovation and sustainability in shared and public transport.

Benoit Perrin, General Manager of EasyMile, said:

The deployment of our autonomous shuttles by beti marks an important milestone in the SHOW project. We are delighted to further demonstrate the service level of Level 4 autonomy in real-world operations.
