Electric vehicle (EV) charge point operator Believ has announced the installation of a new ultra-rapid charging hub in Blackburn, Aberdeen.

The hub is located by a coffee shop on the A96, with Believ set to provide all funding for the installation, operation and maintenance of the hub’s set of four 240kW dual socket EV charging points.

Capacity at the hub will allow for up to eight drivers to charge their vehicles at any one time, with the chargers available enabling a charge rate of up to 80% in under 20 minutes.

Guy Bartlett, Believ CEO, said:

It is fantastic to see Scotland embracing EVs and we are delighted to be supporting the local community and regular users of this major route with convenient, reliable and accessible charging infrastructure.

The hub is helping to ensure the transition away from petrol and diesel cars is as easy as possible, in support of our mission to ensure access to sustainable transport and deliver cleaner air for all.
