EV charging management platform AMPECO has announced a newly expanded roaming partnership with ENAPI, a Berlin-based roaming connectivity partner, to deliver flexibility for CPOs and eMSPs as they look to scale cross-border EV charging operations.

The two companies will seek to integrate ENAPI’s OCPI-based roaming broker with AMPECO’s platform, enabling charge point operators (CPOs) and e-mobility service providers (eMSPs) to make use of streamlined connectivity and a wider reach whilst providing a simplified charging experience across markets.

The two companies will expand their existing partnership to encompass operations in North America
Jakob Kleihues, co-founder of ENAPI, said:

AMPECO and ENAPI share the same DNA: openness, speed, and scale. By combining their platform strength with our transaction and clearing infrastructure, we make roaming seamless… exactly what the industry needs to grow without friction.

The integration of the AMPECO platform will allow for the streamlining of roaming connectivity across a number of networks, ensuring faster connectivity between both CPOs and eMSPS without the need for a separate direct roaming connection.

Thus far, the two companies have experienced success with their unified platform within Europe, with the new partnership now set to expand operations throughout North America.

Stefan Ivanov, CRO at AMPECO, said:

AMPECO empowers Charge Point Operators managing networks of tens of thousands of chargers and serving hundreds of thousands of EV drivers. At this scale, flexibility is essential to success. Staying true to our commitment to deliver unmatched extensibility in our EV charging platform, we are proud to announce seamless integration with ENAPI - giving our customers even greater power to create, manage, and optimize the roaming experience tailored to their business needs.
